Facilities, Demonstrations, Workshops
Include a competition standard print viewer, digital and traditional slide projectors and studio lighting equipment. We have a lending library of photographic books and magazines.
Members’ evenings including demonstrations and advice, special interest discussions and practical sessions.
As well as the regular Wednesday meetings, special interest sessions involving discussions, demonstrations and practical work are arranged from time to time – usually on Friday evenings at the Guild.
The Project Group meets about once a month on a Friday but the dates may vary due to work around other events. Any member of WGPS can take part in the group’s activities.
The general aim is to show (usually projected) images in a non-competitive session. Our subjects are chosen on a short term basis which takes us out of our usual photographic ‘comfort zone.’ This is to encourage us to look at different approaches and techniques and learn new camera and computer skills.
