About Us

Where We Are

We currently meet at the Guild for Lifelong Learning (formerly Wilmslow Guild), 1 Bourne Street, Wilmslow SK9 5HD.

Our meetings are on Wednesdays from 7:30pm to 9:30pm during term time.  The terms roughly follow the academic year’s term times.  We also have the occasional trip to somewhere worth photographing during the summer.

As well as the regular Wednesday meetings, special interest sessions involving discussions, demonstrations and practical work are arranged from time to time – usually on Friday evenings.

Project Group

The  Project Group meets about once a month on a Friday but the dates may vary due to work around other events.  Any member of WGPS can take part in the group’s activities.

The general aim is to show (usually projected) images in a non-competitive session.  Our subjects are chosen on a short term basis which takes us out of our usual photographic ‘comfort zone.’  This is to encourage us to look at different approaches and techniques and learn new camera and computer skills.
